The National Barbecue & Grilling Association Recognizes Locally Made BBQ Buddha Memphis Mop BBQ Sauce as a “Award of Excellence” Winner

BBQ Buddha takes home high honors at I Am BBQ 2017 – The NBBQA Annual Conference & BBQ Bash

NAPERVILLE, Ill.  – April 14, 2017 -- The National Barbecue & Grilling Association (NBBQA) announced today that local product BBQ Buddha Memphis Mop BBQ Sauce was among the top winners in this year's Awards of Excellence competition, earning 1st place in the Vinegar Mild category. The award was announced at I Am BBQ 2017, the association’s annual conference, held March 29 – April 1 in Fort Worth, TX.

The annual competition recognizes the very best barbecue products in a number of industry categories, and the winners were selected from over 100 submissions.

"BBQ enthusiasts from all over the country come here to measure their products against their peers," said Linda Orrison, association president. "It's a competitive field with top-notch products, and a NBBQA Award of Excellence medal is quickly becoming one of the most coveted awards in the foodservice industry."

We at BBQ Buddha have been working hard to create the most delicious, healthy minded food products available. It is with great pride that we accept this 1st Place Award for the one that started it all, our Memphis Mop BBQ Sauce!

In addition to the annual competition, I Am BBQ 2017 featured a valuable line-up of industry power sessions, cooking events, competitions, networking sessions and a National BBQ Bash attended by over 1,000 people geared toward growing and promoting the barbecue & grilling industry across the country and around the world!
